Back up / Download database using Plesk Control Panel



The procedure describes how to back up database or downloading it to your local system in Plesk

  1. Login to your hosting control panel and click on 'Home' from the left navigation menu.
  2. Click on 'Databases' >> Database Name
  3. Select the checkbox next to the Database Username and click on 'Back Up Now'
  4. Next to 'Database to backup' make sure you have the right database selected in the dropdown menu. And in 'Backup file name' enter a name that would help you identifity the backup later on. Then click on 'OK'
  5. Then you should get the message that the database was successfully backed up and you should also get the link to download the database to your local system.
  6. Click on the database name link to download it to your local system.
